Gingerbread Houses

Last year we started a new family tradition building gingerbread houses. Everyone gets involved; grandma, grandpa, Jared, Craig, me, Clay, Chloe, Macee, Shelly, and Brandon. This year we had a new addition into the family, Rowdy, but of course, he was asleep. We all make or build our own gingerbread house, of course I don't usually make my own, I'm helping the kids with their own. This year Macee made her own, and she was so proud, she wanted to eat it, too.

There is a lot of quietness in the house when everyone gets building. Graham crackers are being used like crazy, cutting the crackers making sure they fit just right, and the icing everyone needs their own. We have all kinds of detail that goes into these. It takes about two days to finish, and even sometimes they don't quite get finished, that's okay we all have a good time.

A List for Macee

Christmas is just around the corner, it will be here before you know it. All of the children are getting excited. I went shopping with Macee, my sister and her baby today, everywhere we went she would say "can I get this?", or "we have to buy this for me." I would say "put it on your list." She would say, "okay," just as simple as that. I thought I was doing pretty well with a 3 year old. Some will throw a fit, but not mine today. Then we went down an aisle with little notebooks just her size, she happened find, she said, "here's my list we have to buy it." My sister says,"that's actually funny, you have to admit." Well there was no turning back after that. I had to buy it. Now, she is writing and drawing her lists in it.

My family

We have been in our new house for about a year and a half, we love it where we are. Craig is busy plumbing still, it slowed down the first of the year, now it's really picking up. He is also the Young Men's president, that keeps him busy along with everything else.

I was excited this year to finally get a piano, I have wanted one ever since Craig and I had gotten married. Now my kids can learn to play.

Clay is involved wrestling, he is really enjoying it. Chloe is in dance and piano, I think she will be our little pianist. Clay is also in piano, when he sits down to practice he does a great job, it's of course just getting him to practice. Macee is just as busy as can be. She loves life and just a happy little girl.

Halloween

Craig was excited to see the Headless Horseman this year on Halloween. He said he has always wanted to dress up like this but never has.
